Our next meeting is on Friday 21st June, when John Baxter of the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust will give his presentation “Midsomer Norton rises from the Ashes”.
John Baxter, Secretary of the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust, will tell the story of Midsomer Norton's transformation from a derelict site to one now providing regular train services once again.
A ‘warts and all’ story of the struggle to persuade the right people that the plans, then and now, for this essentially community railway, will safeguard it for future generations.
The Circle meets in Harmans Cross Village Hall, Haycrafts Lane, Harmans Cross at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. Tea/coffee/biscuits and a Railway orientated raffle will be provided as usual
